Ring Of Fire Performers

Ring of Fire perform in a circle to help break down the barrier between audience and performer and to recreate that “around the campfire feel”. The group takes turns performing their favourite sing-along tunes accompanying each song with guitars, banjos, ukuleles or whatever may suit. The audience gathers around to join in the fun and sing the night away. This is one of those shows where the audience becomes as much a part of the show as the performers. The Ring of Fire is unrehearsed, unpredictable, but always a heap of fun.

Bio

Nate Lansdell

Nate Lansdell is a multi-instrumentalist combining melodic guitar styles with percussive guitar tapping along thumping rhythm section via his foot stomp and foot Tamborine. Covering a range of styles from funk, motown to hard rock, Nate Lansdell can cover all genres. Nate is a music teacher by day and gigging musician by night. Nate will also be running the guitar workshop on Sunday giving a free group lesson and handing out pointers to anyone looking to learn or improve their guitar skills.

Dave Feenstra

Multi-instrumentalist guitar, banjo, slide guitarist Dave Feenstra has been involved in the local music industry for the last 25 years in many different bands. The Ring of Fire idea came to him after a regular gig. We were all back in the hotel room singing our favourite tunes to each other and just jamming out songs no one had ever played before when it was said “I WISH THE AUDIENCE GOT TO SEE THIS PART OF THE NIGHT AS WELL”. Dave set about forming a band of like-minded musicians who didn’t mind flying by the seat of their pants and having a whole lot of fun along the way. Dave takes on more of the country classics, but anything can happen at the Ring of Fire.

John Read

John Read is a singer/songwriter and dynamic guitarist whose years of experience has seen him play in places like Curitiba and Florenopilous (Brazil), London and St Ives (England), Raglan and Kaponga (New Zealand) and many venues across Australia. John Read has shared the stage with musicians such as Paul Kelly, Matt Taylor, Belinda Carlisle and many local artists. John's vocals are as honest as they are powerful and an absolute pleasure to listen to.

Rylee Wild

The rose between many thorns in the Ring of Fire is Rylee Wild. Rylee has been performing all over the place with her cabaret dance group “Rivertown Cabaret” and is the voice behind many events ans is the MC for Jarrahfall Campout Weekends, Ravo Chilli Fest, Secret Sounds of the City and many more. Rylee can belt out the sweetest of country tunes or get down and dirty with hip hop or grunge rock! A versatile and fun performer, Rylee Wild is the sugar coating on the Ring of Fire shows. Keep an ear out for her early microphone announcements “GOOOOOD MORNING CAMPERS!"

Jacob Pihema

A Big Man with a soulful, warm and gifted voice, Jacob is an acoustic soloist who covers well known hits from rock to pop and a dash of country and reggae. He is best known for his heartfelt renditions of Motown classics and R&B from the 1960’s-90’s that evoke emotional responses from his audience. You may think it's not possible to blend these genres, but Jacob delivers, blending them comfortably with authentic, relatable, gritty originals and modern songs. Covered artists range from Al Green to Percy Sledge, Ray Charles to James Brown, Marc Cohn to Foo Fighters.

Gavin Sounness

Providing the solid beats to the Ring of Fire, Gavin Sounness is no stranger to performing. He has performed in local and touring bands with the likes of The Brink , Road Kill Choir, Head Honcho, Applejack & Moonshine and many more. Aside from drums, Gavin can wail on the harmonica and will belt out some classic tunes in the Ring of Fire.
